T rail with nose brick next to <br />the rail on the inside for a finish, on Washington, Cooke, and Effingham streets. <br /> Fire Committee instructed to turn over to the Humane Society a horse formerly used by one <br />of the fire companies, or to someone ~lse~who would care for him and not work same. <br /> An a~ditional appropriation of $?5- for another ba~d of music for the fir~men's pa~Jie in <br />May. Flemming moved that the ordir~nce be sent to the Finance Committee to ascertain the <br />cost of retiring ~ll City employees under the same oor~iitions as provided for in -the ordi~noe. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> The report of the Public Property & Schools Committee recommending the purchase of the Cen- <br />tral ~ket, ordered to lie on the table by 'this branch May 9th, was continued on ~the table. <br /> <br />The City Clerk made the following report with regard to the Sinking Fund: <br /> <br />Common Council--Board of Aldermen. <br /> ~ Gentlemen:-- At m meeting of the Boa.rd of Sir~ing <br /> <br />Fund Commissioners Friday, June ~th, it was decided to lend to the City, at the request of the <br />Council therefor, $I2,840.16 of the Sinking Fund, which includes interest on said fund to Novem- <br />ber 1st, 1916. <br /> <br />On motion, said report wms ordered to record. <br /> <br /> The Keeper of Cemeteries made the following report of lots ~nd ~aves <br />Cemetery during the month of May, 1916: <br /> <br />May E~, to C.
