<br />mittee May 9-16 aud March 1~, 1916, and December 14-21, 1915:

<br />Referred by Common Council May 9th.
<br />
<br /> An appropriation of $200. out of "Repairs to Sweeper" and $125. out of "Repairs to Brooms,"
<br />in the Budget of 1916, to pay for a new Sweeper for the Street Department.
<br /> It iS recommended that $325. be allowed for said Sweeper~ out of appropriation in the
<br />Budget, as requested by the Committee.
<br />
<br />Reports of Officers for the month of April, 1916.
<br /> We have examined said reports and it is recommended that they be filed~
<br />
<br /> A report of the Auditor of the following bills held up by him, because of lack of appro-
<br />pri~tion or because, the7 exceeded 1~12 ~f appropriation ~o~ same: General Ad~.inistration,
<br />$8.25; Cemetery, $t~.00, Police, $16.~0, Almshouse, $~2.68, Public Property, $109.50. .
<br /> It is recommended that $8°25 be allowedfor "Geners~l Administration;" that $1~.00
<br />for Cemetery~be not allowed; a special appropriation of $16.~0 for Police; a special appropria-
<br />tion of $~2.68 for Almshouse; and $6?.50 for Public Property, out of its appropriation~ and
<br />the bals~uoe of $42. be referred to said Committee for explanation.

<br />An estimate of the Sealer of Weights & Measures of supplies needed by him, to amount of
<br />
<br /> It is recommended that a special appropriation of $8.05 be allowed for such purpose.
<br />
<br /> A report o~ the Auditor of cancelled cou$ons during 1915 to amounts of $67,208.90 for
<br />the City; $~,106.25 for Sixth Ward; and $5,~5o.25 for Seventh ~ard.
<br /> Procuress as to same.

<br /> A petition of the Seventh ~ard Board for an appropriation of $75. to be used as salary of
<br />Sanitary Inspector for the Ws~d.
<br /> It is recommended that this petition be referred to the Board of Health,
<br />
<br /> A communication from the Auditor of Public Accounts in regard to salaries of the ~udges
<br />of the Circuit and Hustings Courts for the year beginning February l, 1917.
<br /> It is recommended that the Auditor pay said salaries when due.
<br />
<br /> (With Water & Sewerage Committee) An appropriation of $300. to extend and renew the sewer-
<br />mge outlet at Hospital Park.
<br /> It is recommended that said appropriation be a~llowed, out of appropriation to Sewer-
<br />age Department in the Budget.
<br />
<br />Matter of payment for property to extend Hatton street, from London to High.
<br /> We report that this matter is out of the hands of the Committee.
