<br />Sewerage Committee, ~d moved that they be so referred, The. motion was adopted.

<br /> Mr. Markham ca/led attention to section 5 of the contract concerning the question of ap-
<br />praisers being hydraulic engineers, ~d moved to refer to the Water & Sewerage Committee the
<br />advisability of said engineers being from this City. The motion was adopted.

<br /> He moved also to refer to the Water & Sewerage Commst~ee the question of unnecessary waste
<br />referred to in the contract. The motion was adopted. '

<br /> Finally~ ktr. Moore (Joe. S.) moved that the ~nole contract, including all amendments, be
<br />referred to the Water & Sewerage Committee, the ~ater Commission, and the City Attorney; that
<br />the full te~ss of the contract be advertised; ~ud that public meetings be held in order that
<br />the public may be heard on the subject. The motion was adopted.

<br /> Instructed to make notes in the several City banks to amount of $25,000. for sites for the
<br />new High School and colored School buildings; said amount to be included in the bond issue for
<br />Schools, but to be turned into general fuDJds when bonds are sold.
<br /> We report that we shall arrange to borrow the $25,000. when same shall have been con-
<br />curred in by the Board of Aldermen.
<br />
<br /> Authorized to make notes in the several City banks for $6,000.
