<br /> Mr. Leavitt moved that the attention of the~.St=eet'Committee be called to condition of the
<br />northeast corner of Effingham mud County streets. The motion was adopted.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Herbert, the att~tion of the Street ComMittee was called to condition of
<br />one block on Jefferson street, between ~ixth aad Seventh.
<br />
<br /> Er. Hutchins moved that the Street Committee be authorized and instructed to remove the
<br />monument to Grimes Battery at the corner of Washington amd South streets to parking place on
<br />Washington street. The motion was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Er. Hutchins moved that the Park Commissio~ be requested to submit to Council pla~s with
<br />estimates of cost, for beautifying the parking on Washington street.
<br /> The motion was s~iopted.

<br /> The PreSident, speaking for himself and the Vice-President, made special request for all
<br />Councilmen to be present at the next regular meeting of this body in August, as they would find
<br />it to their interest to be present.

<br /> An appropriation of $75. to put in a catch basin and pipe line at the corne~ of Fouzthand
<br />Wythe streets.
<br /> It is recommended that a special a~propriatiOn to said amount be allowed for the purpose.

<br /> To make available $36. allowed in the Budget for six Directories; and a special appropriation
<br />of $6. to pay for another directory which has been delivered.
<br /> It is recommended that an appropriation of $36. be mmic available and that a special
<br />propriation of $6. be made, as requested.

<br /> An appropriation to lay au S-inch main, instead of ~-~noh main, on the corner of Third and
<br />Wythe streets, out of general funds for the ~ewerage Department'.
