<br /> Mr. Lemvitt moved that the attention of the~.Street Committee be called to condition of the
<br />northeast corner of Effingham aud County streets. The motion w~s s~iopted.

<br /> On motion of ~r. Herbert, the attehtion of the Street Committee .was called to condition of
<br />one block on Jefferson street, between Sixth aad Seventh.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Hutchins moved that the Street Committee be authorized and instructed to remove the
<br />monument to Grimes Battery at the corner of Washington aad South streets to parking place on
<br />Washington street. The motion was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Er. Hutchins moved that the Park Commission be requested to submit to Council plans with
<br />estimates of cost, for beautifying the parking on Washington street.
<br /> The motion was ~iOpted.

<br /> The Pre~ident, speaking for himself and the Vice-President, m~ie special request for all
<br />Councilmen to be present at the next regular meeting of this body in August, as they would find
<br />it to their interest to be present.
