Griffin, Sr., *James C. <br />Hawks, James T. Martin, Cameron C. Pitts, *P. Ward Robinett, <br />Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, George M. Willson, Deputy <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />94-473 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 5:.00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 1994, for <br />the purpose of a Public Work Session on the Capital Improvement <br />Plan. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> 94-474 The following item was discussed in the Public <br />Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Proposed Capital Improvement Plan <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of <br />the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of the use of real property <br />for public purpose in the downtown portion of the City, as <br />permitted under Subsection (A) (3); <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion or consideration of a personnel matter <br />involving a member of the City Manager's Staff, as permitted <br />under Subsection (A) (1). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the Council member's knowledge during the <br />immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information <br />Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> /Gloria O.
