<br /> On motion, the suggestion w~s axiopted.

<br /> ~hereupon, the P~esident made a brief statement concerning the- charges made by Er..Mulvey
<br /> and turned over the ma~er to the Commi~sion~

<br /> expense attached except, perhaps, for the employment of a stenographer.

<br /> Mr. Corbitt suggested that the Commission have ~n open meeting next Friday niEht in the
<br /> Municipal Building at ?: 30 for the purpose of entering into the investigation and that the Clerk
<br /> notify '2~r. Mulvey to be present with such witnesses as he may wish to testify, the City Attorney,
<br /> and the Mayor. The suggestion was ~dopted,
<br />
<br /> Next, the matter of purchasing electrical motor apparatus ~w~s ts~ken up.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Morris moved that ~he City Manager be heard from On the subject.
<br /> The motion w~s adopted, and the Manager re~i communications on the working of motor
<br /> apparatus in Clifton For~e, Suffolk, Baltimore, Nosfolk, and Richmond, in which all expressed
<br /> satisfaction with me,or apps~atus. -
<br /> After & very full and favorable statement by the Chairman of the Fi-hartco Department
<br />for the working and economy of the app~ratus a~d a discussion by each member of the Council,
<br />all favoring, ~r. Morgan moved ~o adopt the report of Public Safety Depa=tment recommending the~
<br />acceptance o~ the bid of the American La France Fire Engine Co~
<br /> Nrc Norris moved to amend, that the City Attorney pass on the contract, s~ud that the
<br />contract set forth clearly the dates of delivery~ ~ohd required, a forfeiture of s~me if the
<br />apparatus be~ ~n°t delivered on time; that all apparatus be deliSe~ed before August 1, 191T; that
<br />no payment o~ made within sixty ch~ys~ to require a forfeit of $15. per d~y~ if not ae-ivered~ ~
<br />as required by contract. The amen~.ment w~s adopted, and by the following vote:

<br /> Kr. Morris moved that "An Ordinance Prescribing the Dutie~ of the Electrical Inspector mhd
<br />Adopting the National Electrical Code as Reg,~lating Such D~ties, and Fixing a Schedule of ~n-
<br />speotion Fees," ordered mo lie on the table ~ebruary 27th, be taken up for adoption; but the
<br />motion wms not ~dopted.
