December 19, 1994 <br /> <br />', 558 <br /> <br /> At a C&lled Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, <br />DeCember 19, 1994, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayoz Gloria~O. Webb, Vic~ Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard <br />D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T, Martin, Cameron C. <br />Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, <br />Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. <br /> <br />94-~97 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> ,Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to he <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, 1994, for <br />the purpose of a motion to go into executive session to discuss <br />the disposition of publicly held property. <br /> <br />By order'of the Mayor." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go <br />into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 <br />of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion or consideration of the use of real property <br />for public purpose or the disposition of publicly held real <br />property in the PortCentre, and downtown portions of the City, <br />as permitted under Subsection (A)(3); <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion concerning a prospective business or <br />industry where no previous announcement has been made of the <br />business' or industry's interest in locating or expanding its <br />facilities in the community as permitted in Subsection (A) (5). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to <br />Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the <br />best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately <br />preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information <br />Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 4:47 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Powell Pittman, CMC/AAE <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
