December 20, 1994 At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday, December 20, 1994, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemens, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., Ja~es C. Hawks, James T. Martin, Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., V. Wayne Orton, Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. City 94-506 The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 1994, for the purpose of a motion to go into executive session to discuss the disposition of publicly held property. By order of the Mayor." Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemens, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion or consideration of the use of real property for public purpose or the disposition of publicly held real property in the PortCentre, and downtown portions of the City, as permitted under Subsection (A) (3); (2) Discussion concerning a prospective business or industry where no previous announcement has been made of the business' or industry's interest in locating or expanding its facilities in the community as permitted in Subsection (A} (5). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
