R. C. P. December II, 1917 that the daily check-ups of the service indicate that it is now exceptionally good. On motion, the communications were ordered to be ~iled. Second. Attaching correspondence with ~agnolia Camp, No. 4, Woodsen of the Worid, in v~nich the City Man~ger allowed said Camp to use the City Armory the first dud third Mondmys and second a~d fourth Wednesdays of each month for drills, provided there is no expense to the City. On motion, the action of the Ns~uager w~s a~proved. Third. A recommendation of the Manager that he beallowe~ ~appropriation to defray his expenses to Washington December i2th in connection with the proposed organization of a District Health Board, embracing the City of Portsmouth and Norfolk County. On motion, the N~nager w~s allowed ~u appropriation of $20. ~or such .~u?pose. Fourth. Notice o~ ~the following appointments to the Fire and Police Dep~rtments recently: Fire Department: Mr. J. F. The motion w~s adopted. The Budget of Anticipated Receipts a~d Expenditures for the Year 1~1~, ordered to lie on the table December ~th, was now taken~p~ Mr. Herbert moved that as the Budget w~s being re~d, if ~uy member hs~d an amendment to offer to it, he propose the ~mendmen~ under its respective Deps~rtment in the order read: The motion w~s adopted.
