Navy Yardi <br /> to construct a track ~t~om the Atlant'ic Go,st Line pmoperty into the Naval Hospital G~oumds for <br /> the purpose of deliveri~ material in the construction of the proposed additional ~_uits at ~e <br /> Hospital, also for the purpose of hauling coal to the Power Station. ~he said track ~osseslPai~_k <br /> Ave. at a point ~0' S~th of the North end of Par~ Ave. <br /> <br /> ~At the point where ~e proposed tmack crosses Pamk Ave., there is a ms~sh t~o the ~est <br /> Pa~k Ave., s~d no residence within close proximity. ~ne t~ack enters the Hospital G~otmds at <br /> point opposite the North line of the present cemetemy. I therefcme, respectz~lly recommend that <br /> you call a special meeting of the Courcil for ~e purpose of g~anting the request of the U. <br /> GoveEmment to cross the North end of Pa~k ave., at a poet about SO~ South of the North end. <br /> This work is now rea~ to proceed in the construction of said track, which will probably take <br /> about two weeks to construct, after peEnit i~as been g~anted, in the meantime, however, all the <br /> material, coal, etc., used at the Naval Hospital has to be hauled'by wagons at an inconvenience <br /> andJdetay. <br /> <br /> ~t personal~ recommend the g~anting a <br /> peEn_t for ~he U. S. GoveEmment to construct the <br />track before mentioned, provided t~hat there be no cost on the pamt of the City, in view of the <br />fact that this track is to be constr~cted, maintained and used exclusively by the U.
