R. C. P. September 17, 1918 At a regular meeting of the City Council September lVth there were present: Messrs-- T. Al B~uting, M. P. Claud, C. D. Dean~, ~J. T. Hanvey~ C. H. Herbert, E. H. Wright, 6. Also the City Manager. The minutes of the regular meeting September 10th were read and were approved. REPORTS OF DEPARTMENTS No report. Public Service-- No report. Property-- No report. Public Safety-- No report. P~blic Welfare-- No report. Finance - - Referred July lSth A petition of Larking B. Lester, Guardian of Ruby An~e Lester, paid in'error on assessment. It is recommended that said amount be refunded Nr. Lester. to be refunded $11.49, Referred August 15th (WithaL aw D~Dar~nt) Recommendation'of the Department of Law t~hat the office of ~bercu- !osis nurse be created, at a salary of $100. per m?nth; said salary to be paid out of appropri- ation in the Budget for Health under "Outside Publzc Health Officer." It is recommended that this item be referred to the Budget of 1919. A petitio~ of ~gz~y E. Jackson, cot. Rutter street and First avenue, to be refunded $1.80, paid i~ error for'Soil tax for the year 191V. It is recommended that said ~mount be refunded. A petition of the Assistant to the month. Progress. (With Public Property~Department) A petition of the Assistant his salary to ~e increased. Tt is recommended that the'salary of said Officer be made balance of the year from September l, 19lB. It is recommended that said ref%u%d be made. license on an auto- Referred September 10th A request of the Department of Health to have made available $2,500. for the employment of engineers to compile data and maps for the sewering of the ~sewered portion of the City. It is re~cmm~ed that this matter b~ referred to the City Manager and Department of Public Service for consideration in the Budget of 1919; also to consider the advisability of sec~u~ing pernmnent engineering work for the year 1919 with reference to above work and other new wOPEe A ~equest ~o~ the ooard o~ Harbor Commissioners that the second quarterly payment of $375. of the $1~00. appropriated to said Board be made available.
