P. <br /> <br />~e~ember 1~, 1918 <br /> <br />The motion was lost by the following vote: <br /> <br />Then <br /> <br />the Budget was adopted, as amended, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes--,Claud, Culpepper, Deans, Hanvey, Herbert, Wright, <br /> <br /> ~7 BUSil~SS <br /> A petition of R. Bomb!ken to be refunded $!0.80, paid in error for soil tax on his residence <br />404 Fifth avenue, 1913-18, inclusive, was referred to the Finance Department. <br /> <br /> On motion of ~ ~' <br /> Mr, ~ lght, the advisability of substituting 400 Watt Nitrogen i~mps on the <br />White ~ay was referred to the Department .of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Mr, V~right moved that the Department of Law bring in an ordinance amending the present <br />ordinance so as to abolish the bonus for the City Collector and Deputy City Collector. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> ~. Herbert moved that we ask the Sinking Fund Cormmission for a loan of $20,000.00 on <br />January 2nd, 1919. The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Herbert offered the following resolution, which was adopted: <br /> ~Resolved, That the col- <br />lection of r,venue from the City, Sixth and Seventh Wa~ds be kept separate until further notice; <br />but that the funds be keot in ~he General Accost of the City and that all bills be paid from <br />said account.~ ' <br /> <br /> Mm. Herbe~t moved that High Constable Victor J. Hutcheson be allowed $12.50 as one-half of <br />fine collected. The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Herber~ moved that the attention of the City Manager be called to condition of Griffin <br />street. The motion was ~dopted. <br /> <br /> 0n motion of ~,~ Herbert, an appropriation of ~ <br /> · ~50. was made to the Sa!vationA~. <br /> <br /> On motion of ~. Culpepper, the attention of the City Manager was called to the condition <br />of Fifth and ~ixth avenues. <br /> <br />Mr~ Wright moved that the attention of the City Manager be called to condition of Fifth <br />street, between Jefferson and F~vette, and M~. Deans, condition of Crawford and Lo~don streets. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> <br />0n motion, <br /> <br />adjou_~ned to meet December BOth, 7 P.
