S. Housing Corporation to <br />the City Manager requestin~ hL~ to "take up the subject of abandoning the Terminal at Pearl Street, <br />Berkley, Virginia, at the next regular meeting of yo~_~ co~ittee, so that this matter can be <br />brought before the Advisory Board at the next meeting Thursday, October 23rd. <br /> <br />No action was taken on the matter and the communication was ordered to be filed. <br /> <br />Public Safety-- <br /> ~0 report. <br /> <br />Public Welfare-- <br /> No report, <br /> <br />Finance -- <br /> <br />Referred September 16th <br /> <br /> A special appropriation of $1,500. for cutting weeds and filling and draining dirt streets <br />for the balance of the year. <br /> It is recormmended t~t a special appropriation of $1,000. be allowed~for the purpose. <br /> <br /> A special appropriation of $490, to p~_~chase two horses; also buggy and harness for the Sup- <br />erintendent of the~Streetso <br /> It is recommended that said appropriation be allowed. <br /> <br />A special approp_ zatzon ~f $125. to cover the cost of a mowing machine <br /> We report that the amount is provided for in other appropriation. <br /> <br /> Recommendation of the Public Service Department that the pay of B. 0.
