Jerv~y, to the ~fo~, request- <br /> *~g the Ma~O~ to reserve for hLm a room and bath at the hotel for the night of. Sept. 22nd$ also <br /> stating that the order for his retireK~n~had been issued, effect, lye Sept. 2~, and tl~t he <br /> would report for duty in Portsmouth on ~he morning of the 22nd. <br /> On motion, the letter was ordered to be filed, <br /> <br /> A c~o~m~u~ic~tion was r~ad from C. D. Owens calling attention to the fact t~ba~ the oabins <br /> fer_~ boats used ~/ white passengers .bound for Norfolk are used by the negro p~ssonge~*s on boats <br /> Sound for Portsmouth,~_a_nd tl~t ~he o~birm used by the negro passe~uEe~s on the trip to Norfolk <br /> are used by the whie passengers on the return trip to Port~aouth. <br /> On motion, the comu,muication was released to the Committee on Ferries. <br /> <br /> At this ~o~n$, the ~rivilege of the floor was granted to representatives from the Central <br /> Iebor Union, who protested aga~st the curtailment o~f the ferry s~vices between Norfolk and <br /> Port~mouth,~ and Messrs. W. Lo G~ and Jos.
