379 January 2~, I~Z2 At a regular meeting of the City Council January 24th there were present: Messrs-- Vernon Brooks, R. B. Esleeok, J. H. Hall, Jr., R.- A. Hutchins, Jr., J. Alden Oast, J. C. Smith, E~ G. White, ?. Also the City Manager The minutes of the regular meeting January 10th were read and were approved. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Finance--- Referred January 10th Com~umication from the City Manager With regard to deposit of funds of the Water Department. PrOgress as to sa~ne. Recommendation of the Manager that a special appropriation of $100. be made to cover ficiency in Colored Probation Officer appropriation. It is recommended that a special appropriation ~o said amount be allowed. Report ~om the City Attorney in regard to filing exceptions in the condemnation oases concerning the extension of Hat,on St~meet. It is recommende~ tha:t $30j000,00 ~e appropriated, from Ourrent Revenue, for the ex- te~si~ of..~id street.
