June 25,2002 <br /> <br /> (d) Will be a project that will be developed according to a plan for parking, <br />driveways, and curb cuts which will provide for safe and convenient traffic movement; <br />and <br /> <br /> (e) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the City of Portsmouth Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br /> 2. That Patsy M. Griffin is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section <br />40-43.1 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988) for a duplex at 424 <br />Queen Street, and being more particularly described as: <br /> <br />UP-02-06 <br /> <br /> Beginning approximately 55' to the east of the <br />northeast intersection of Queen Street and Dinwiddie Street; <br />thence, in an easterly direction approximately 40' to a point; <br />thence in a northerly direction approximately 68' to a point; <br />thence, in a westerly direction approximately 40' to a point; <br />thence in a southerly direction approximately 68' to the point <br />of beginning. <br /> <br /> 3. That the use permit is approved subject to the following conditions which shall <br />be observed by the applicant and any successor in interest: <br /> <br /> (a) The applicant shall comply with all applicable codes, ordinances, and <br />regulations of federal, state, and local government and shall obtain and maintain in <br />effect all required licenses and permits. <br /> <br /> (b) The Commission of Architectural Review must approve any changes to <br />the exterior of the structure. <br /> <br /> (c) All taxes and fees owed in connection with the subject property and <br />operation shall be paid in a timely manner. <br /> <br />(d) The applicant shall restore the front porch to its original design. <br /> <br /> 4. REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may <br />serve as grounds for revocation of the use permit by the City Council." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, approved at the June 11, 2002 meeting, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />02-171(b): <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-02-04." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Whitehurst <br />Nays: None <br />Abstained: Robinett (Mr. Robinett abstained because of a business interest.) <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to adopt the following <br />resolution, approved at the June 11, 2002 meeting, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />02-171(c): <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO THE INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA FOR AN <br />INDUSTRIAL LAUNDERER FACILITY IN THE PORTCENTRE COMMERCE PARK. <br /> <br /> <br />
