<br /> We have examined said reports and it is recommended that they be filed.

<br /> Communication from the S~hoo! Board 7equestlng that the Board be relieved from payment of
<br />tmxes on ~he Shem prope=$y for the entire~ Year 1922, instead of from April y, 1922.
<br /> We report that we see no reason for the Counoi! changing its former action, that taxes
<br />be relieved on said property from April ~, 1922.

<br /> Request of the City Collector that Mrs. Minnie C. Allen be refunded $6.30, paid in error,
<br />correction by the Board of Review.
<br /> It is recommended thmt a special appropriation of $6.30 be allowed to make said refund.
<br />

<br /> It is recommended that the Treasurer be authorized to pay sa/d bill, out of funds on

<br /> Recommendation of the Manager that a special appropriation of $98.2~ be allowed to pay bill
<br />of Mrs. J. N. Hill for damages to automobile c~used by man-hole in center of Seventh s~'reet.
<br /> Zt is recommended that a special appropriation of $9~.2~ be allowed to pay said bill.
<br />

<br /> Communication from the President of 'the Tidewater Automobile Association, forwarded by
<br />the ~n~ger, asking the assistance of the City of Portsmouth to the amount of $56~,000. OS fo~
<br />the construction of !0 mile link in the Norfolk-Portsmouth-Richmond Highway, the link proposed
<br />being between Suffolk and Carrsvi~le; saic~ amount to be paid Back ~o the City by the State in
<br />two or three years.
<br /> The City Attorney advises that th~ City omu not legally make this losm~.
