<br /> A bill cf P. C. Hutchins, SSate Game Warden, to s~mount of $50.00, for. services rendered
<br />in destroying 20 tagless dogs @ $2.50 each, was referred to the Finance Committee.

<br /> An application was read from the Central Shoe Store, Inc., that the City defray oneLhatf
<br />the expense off putting down a new concrete sidewalk in front of said store 301-305 High St.,
<br />and same was referred to the Finance Committee and City Manager.

<br /> A request was read from the Finance Committee of ~he School Board for the following ad-
<br />ditional appropriations: $1,000.00 to cover necessary extras, approved by the Architect, not
<br />included ,in the original contracts for the Wood~ow Wilson High School addition and the Jef-
<br />ferson St. School Addition; $930.00 for additional equipment for the Woo~LrOw Wilson High
<br />School made necessary by the growth of the commercial department; $651.82, out of the Washington
<br />Wa~d funds, for necessary extrs~ for the new Pinners Point colored school.
<br /> On motion, the request was referred to the Finance Committee.

<br />Operate, for the Term and Upon the Conditions Hereinafter Stated, a Trollibus System, Upon
<br />Certain Highways and Public Pls~es of the City of Portsmouth.

<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, to a Person or Persons er to a Corporation Hereafter to be Ascertained,
<br />in the Mode Prescribed by Law the Franchise, Right, and Privilege to Construct, Maintain, and
<br />Operate, for the Term and Upon the Conditions Hereinmfter Stated, a Street R~ilway System,
<br />Upon Certain Highways and Public Places of the City o~f Portsmouth, and to Amend in the Parti-
<br />culs~rs Hereinafter Specified the Existing Franchises of Virginia R~ilway and Power Company in
<br />the Event the said Company is the successful bidder for th~s Franchise and the Same is Granted
<br />to it.
