<br /> I am inclosing a bill ef~405,00~as-the mmount of costs assessed in the suit of
<br />~. E. Thozm~s v. City of Portsmouth and the County of Norfolk. After the determination of this
<br />ease by the City and the County buying the property from~r. Thomas the Court entered~an order
<br />requiring the defendants to pay the costs. The City owes one-half ef the above till and the
<br />County of Norfolk the other half.

<br /> I rece~muend 2hat ~the City direct its half to be paid as soon as the Co~mty sf Norfelkt
<br />makes provision to pay the other one-half.
