Stewart, <br /> <br />The President announced the death of Oouncilma~ John Howard H~ll. <br /> <br />Mr. Brooks offered the following resolution, which was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> "It is not given to m~ny men to have loved long ~ud honorably ms well as righteously, <br />to have served ~nd w~ought usefully ~nd ef~ficiently, to have adhered to truth smd Justice <br />~nd to have won ar~ fully merited ~he love and respect of their fellowmen, regardless of <br />creed, race or station. <br /> <br /> This has bee~ the unusual lot of o~r beloved friend and co-worker, the late John Howard <br />Hall. As citizen~ as 0hristian, as pmblic se=vast, he ~h~s fought the good fight; he has <br />kept the faith. <br /> <br /> We, his fellow councilmen, ta~e this .sad occasion to express our grief and regret at <br />his death, our ~admi~ation for his flawless character and to commend to ou~ fellow citizmns <br /> for thei= guid~ce the so excellent example of his simple, unselfish and Godly.life~. <br /> <br /> The 0fry Olerk is directed to spread on the minutes of the Oouncil this expression of <br />our sentiments and to fur~ish copies thereo~ to the family of the late 0ouncitman Hall mud <br />to the local press." <br /> <br /> Then Mr. Brooks moved that ou~ of respect to late 0ouncilman Hall, we adjourn to meet <br />Frldmy, April l?th, at 8 P.M. The motion w~e adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
