"I am forwsmding herewith a communication f~om the National Rivers and Harbors Oongress asking that delegates be appointed to that Congress which is to be held in Washington on December 9th and 10.th, 1925. Gentlemen:- ~PortsmouT/l, Va., October 5, 1925. ~he most important public celebration of the year will be held on Armistice Day, November the ~leventh, 'under the auspices of the Portsmouth Post $3? of the American Legion. We have the assurance that approximately two thousand troops, sailors and marines will be in the line cf pa~ade, which will start at 9:30 am. and cover the major por~ythe 0ity. After the parad~ we will hold a patriotic celebration at theWythe',Street~s~i~sent the City with'a captured Gemm~m war trophy. This'is only a portion of the~rogram of the Day.
