<br />require~?o show a reasonkble amount of respect for the laws, written and unwritten, of the

<br /> The Klan, while realizing that the Oity Oounoil may be powerless to prevent such enter-
<br />tainments being held on the Sabbath Day, believes that a vast m~jority of the citizens of
<br />the Oity of Portsmouth, Va.., s~ve decidedly sgainst them being permitted to be held in a
<br />building theyh~ve been taxed to build and are_being taxed to maintain.

<br />uoramt of the pu~ose the Auditorium was-to be used for, they are of the opinion that the
<br />0ity Official guilty of renting the ~h~ll shouid be a~monished for-not ascertaining specifical-
<br />ly the purpose for whi6h the hall was being re,ted, au~ not refusing the rental of it for the
<br />purpose it was msed.
