Olty Oouncil,

Honorable Sirs:

We wish to bring to the attention of your honorable body the subject of side-
walk conditions at the North-side of Wythe Street, at the North-end of Fourth Street. A few
years ago when the traffic conditions necessitatedthe widening of Wythe Street; that part of
same lying between the'West-curb of Fourth Street and the ~est-mzrb of Court Street, the widen-
lng was done by reducing the width of the side-walk on the North-side of Wythe Street, between
the West-curb of ~ourth Street and the West-curb of Oourt Street, leaving a side-walk space
of some 18 inches. As the conditions at the point mentioned are partieu~ly hazardgus for
pedestrians, it is requested that the EngineeZi~g De~t. be instructed to investigate the situ-
ation and that steps be taken to remedy the m~t%er without delay.
