<br /> Mr. ~ L. 0rocker, at~rney for the virginia Electric & Power ~o., requested that the first
<br /> sentence of Section 1V, paragraph (~), be amended to read as follows: "Any company or indivi-
<br /> dual operating under the provisions of this ordinance shall pay into the treasury of the. City
<br /> ~r ~h? use of its streets .and for the p~ivi~Mge of operating its buses in sa~d
<br /> e~am mo three and one-quarter, er cent t ~ ~ y an amount

<br /> Er. Brooks moved that the words "or his duly authorized agent, be added after the words

<br /> Mr. 0rocker~reques~d that the words "~irst dayof "%e amended to read: "first
<br /> day of July, 1926,, in Section V, let paragraph.
<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that same be amended to read :twenty-second day of July, 1926.,
<br /> The amendment by Mr. Brooks was adopted.

<br /> Mr, Maupin move~ that the following words be inserted in Section V, ~nd paragraph, line $:
<br />'"within ten days after they have failed to agree upon a price.,
<br /> The amendment was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that the w~rds "or his ~uly authorized agent, be inserted after the
<br />words "0ity Msnager, in Sectibn lll. The am4ndment was adopted.

<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that the words "City Co~mucil. be substituted for "0ity Auditor, in Section
<br />1V, paragraph 5, line 2. The amendment was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that section 1V, paragraph 12, be amended ~o read as follows: "Such com-
<br />pany or individual, s~ll at all times keep all buses or vehicles operated by it clean, painted,
<br />free i~rom unnecessary noise, efficiently ventilated, sufficiently lighted at night ~nd adequate-
<br />ly heated with safe and convenient appliances whenever tbs weather is such that heating is es-
<br />sential to %he comfort of passengers.,
