Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard <br />~iffln, Sr., James C. Hawks, James T. Martin, C~meron C. <br /> Magsie~ Acting City Manager, GeoYge M. Will$on, ~ActTng <br /> <br />95-342 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br />"Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />,ford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 1995, for the <br />,ose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />utive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />43 - The following item was discussed in the Public Work <br /> <br />orrow Pit Study Committee Report <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to go <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 <br />he Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion of the acquisition of real property for <br /> purpose in the City of Suffolk, as permitted under <br />~ction (A) (2); <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion of appointments to boards and commissions <br />)f a personnel matter involving a Council appointee, as <br />Ltted under Subsection (A)(1). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Martin, and secgnded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant <br />~ction 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />)est of the Council member's knowledge during the <br />~iately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />(1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Informationi <br />and <br /> <br />(2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />e motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were <br />[, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />~il. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />,VED- <br /> <br />Gloria O.
