August 8, 1995 <br /> <br />95-378 ~ Letter from the Acting City Manager recommending <br />adoDtlon of a moti6n to transfer $25,000 from the Grants <br />Contingency Account to hare a planner to administer the City's <br />EnVironmental Program. <br /> <br /> "The Planning Department has been awarded a $25,000 grant <br />from the Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department to cover the <br />costs of hiring a planner to administer/implement the provisions <br />of ~he Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act. The grant will be <br /> at~h~d w~th $25,000 of ~n-k~nd services provided by the <br />Plarin~ng Staff and a salary supplement of $4,400. <br /> <br /> I recommend approval of a motion transferring $25,000 from <br />the Grants Contingency Account." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to <br />transfer $25,000 from the Grants Contingency Account for a <br />plan~er to administer the City's Environmental Program, and was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> ! <br /> Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Webb <br /> None <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />- Letter from the Acting City Manager recommending <br /> of a motion to transfer $24,900 from the Grants <br /> Account to fund a Secretary (Senior) position <br /> Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. <br /> <br />for <br /> <br /> "The Portsmouth Health Department has been awarded funds <br /> full-time support staff to the Lead Poisoning <br />Prevention Grant. These duties are now essential to the <br />Program for data collection and patient follow up. <br /> I There.are no City matching funds required.
