The vehicula~ receipts decrease~ about $1,656.OO and passenger receipts increased about .$?~2.00. The increase in passenger receipts is accounted for by the operation of the Norfelk-Berkley beat. Ferry Service Ferry service during th~ month has, on the whole, been fairly satisfactory. Thre~ boats have been eperatedduring the entire day and four boats during the rush periods in the m~=nlng and evening. The Berkley bridge was opened on Monday, December 12th, hnd we discon- tinued our service on the same date. Maintenance In addi$ion to the usual malntenanee carried on during the month the re-arrange- ment of the ticket booths in the Norfolk Terminal was completed, and Judging from the compliments received the traveling publie appreciates the added convenience. ~ersennel Since the expiration of the Norfolk-Berkley service one pilot and one deckhand ave been relemsed from duty.
