REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may <br />serve as grounds for revocation of the permit by the City Council." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- City Manager's Report - <br /> <br />02 - 93 - Adoption of a resolution requesting the Virginia Department of Transportation <br />(VDOT) to modify the number of lane miles of City streets in Portsmouth to account for <br />streets added and/or deleted to the system in the last year. <br /> <br />In order for the City to receive quarterly maintenance payments from VDOT, it is <br />necessary to submit a resolution, approved by City Council, with the <br />additions/deletions of lane mileage for fiscal year 2001-02. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />· Adoption of a resolution requesting the Virginia Department of Transportation <br />(VDOT) to modify the number of lane miles of City streets in Portsmouth to account for <br />streets added and/or deleted to the system in the last year. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />· In order for the City to receive maintenance payments from VDOT, it is necessary to <br />submit a resolution, approved by City Council, with the additions/deletions of lane <br />mileage for fiscal year 2001-02. <br /> <br />· This report must be submitted to VDOT by April 1,2002. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· These changes will result in additional revenue of $100,121 in State Maintenance <br />Funds. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to adopt the following <br />resolution, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE CERTAIN ADDITIONS, DELETIONS AND <br />CHANGES IN FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING MAINTENANCE <br />PAYMENTS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the regulations of the Virginia Department of Transportation adopted <br />pursuant to Section 33.1-41.1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, require that the City submit <br />a request for mileage additions, deletions and changes in functional classification of <br />streets which have occurred during the fiscal year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following described changes in mileage have occurred in the <br />City of Portsmouth; <br /> <br /> <br />
