July I0, 1928 <br /> <br />FEP~Y SERVICE Ferry service during the month has been very satisfactory. Three boats have been <br />operated during the entire day and fou~ boats during the rush periods in the morning and evening. <br />MAINTENANOE The ticket booths in Port~mo~th Terminal have been rebuilt to co~'o~ with those <br />in the Norffolk Terminal, and a great improvement is noted in the handling-of passengers. <br /> The steamer ~Hockaway~ was painted. <br /> month. <br />P~SONNEL There has been no change in the personnel during the <br /> I am ~bmitting hereto copy of the audit for the ~onth off May, 1928~ as submitted <br />by Frederick B. Hill <br />& Co., were ordered to be filed. <br /> Mr. ~ayo moved that the City Manager be authorized to consider the advisability of an <br />dinance to limit the number of gas stations in the City. <br /> The motion was adopted. <br /> Mr. White moved that a Committee of Three be appointed to investigate the possibility and <br /> oh~ ~ou.t House property on the corner.of High ~nd Court streets, <br />feasibility of disoosing of ' ~ ~ <br />and to con-esr with~ the Supervisors of Norfolk Cotuuty relating to the building of a joint building <br />and sale of the said property. . The motion was adopted~ <br /> Mr. Katts was allowed the privilege of the £1oo= and he protested against the license tax <br />on automobile being imposed on Navy Offisiale li~i~ng in the City of-Portsmouth. <br /> <br />-' '"~' On motion, <br /> <br />adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
