231 <br /> <br />September 11, 1995 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, <br />September 11, 1995, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, Bernard <br />D. Griffin, Sr., James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, *P. Ward <br />Robinett, Jr., Ronald W. Massie, Acting City Manager, G. Timothy <br />Oksman, City Attorney. <br /> <br />95-410 The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be <br />held in the City Council Chamber, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 <br />Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 11, 1995, for <br />the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />95-411 - The following items were discussed in the Public Work <br />SesSion: <br /> <br />1. Water Levels <br />2. Bide-A-Wee Golf Course <br />3. ~useum Admissions <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and <br />into Executive Session pursuant <br />of the Code of Virginia for the <br /> <br />seconded by Mr. Griffin, to go <br />to provisions of Section 2.1-344 <br />following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion of the appointment of members of boards or <br />commissions by Portsmouth City Council, as permitted under <br />Subsection (A) (1); <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion of pending actual litigation involving the <br />City; as permitted under Subsection {A)(7); and <br /> <br /> (3) Discussion of the use of real property for a public <br />purpose or the disposition of publicly held property, as <br />permitted under Subsection {A) (3). ~ <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the Council member's knowledge during the <br />i~e~iately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br />open <br />Act; <br /> <br />in ~1 <br />hear( <br />Cou~ <br /> <br />APPR( <br /> <br />(1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from <br />meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information <br />and <br /> <br />(2) Only such public business matters as were identified <br />Le motion bY which the Executive SessiOn was convened, were <br />[, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />~il. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />· Gloria O.
