September 12, 1995 <br /> <br />*Mr. Robinett spoke on storage of commercial vehicles in <br />residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />request the city administration to investigate the current <br />ordinance as it relates to storage of commercial vehicles in <br />residential neighborhoods, and make a recommendation for <br />improvement, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />*Mr. Clemons extended an invitation to the 5th Annual Umoja <br />Festival. <br /> <br />*Mr. Martin presented the report of the Development Code <br />Committee. <br /> <br />95-425 - Receipt of other communications <br /> <br />There were no other communications. <br /> <br />95-426 - Continued Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Louis Whitehead, <br />Street Bridge and a <br />Virginia. <br /> <br />4415 County Street, spoke on the Clifford <br />carousel in the Children's Museum of <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to have <br />the design group develop other ideas for the atrium in the <br />Children's Museum of Virginia, and was adopted by a vote of 6-1 <br />(Clemons). <br /> <br />2. Dorothy Hill, 405 Shenandoah Street, spoke on the Waterview <br />causeway. <br /> <br />3. Leslie Hellerman, 1314 Monteree Avenue ~1, Norfolk, spoke on <br />the Waterview causeway. <br /> <br />4. Linda Griffin, 1528 Maple Avenue, spoke on the problems <br />associated with the Portsmouth Community Development Group. <br /> <br />5o Rev.
