The Honorable Oity Council
and City Manager.

Gentlemen,-

In ju~e 1926 your honorable body passed a ~resolution aEreeing to reimburse the
undersigned for certain street improvements, ~'eurbing a~d guttering~, which were installed
at that time under the supervision of the city engineer, and according to city specifications,
at a cost to us of $3189.13. At that time we also had installed sidewalks, which brought our
total expenditure for this work to about $?000.00.

This refund was to be made from a bond issue for street improvements; but we feel
sure that when it is brought to ~our attention that because of these improvements, and much othert
developing in this t~mc~,~}_g~_~gt_ex~ense ~? us, there have already been built twenty odd
homes at a cost of acou~ $1E~,ooo. OO from wnxch the sity is receiving taxes annually, you
will feel that it is only fair to make this refund at this time.

We respectfully request that this be done, and we agree to spend said $3100.00
in further improvements in this tract, which will in turn increase taxable Values.

Respectfully yours,
