BARCLAY, Oity Attorney." <br /> <br /> Mr. Mayo moved that the communication be referred to the City Manager, with instructions <br />to work ou~ some pla~u whereby~the City can get clear of the weed nuisance and report back <br />to the City Council. The motion was adopted. <br /> <br /> The following ordinance, which had been placed on first reading by Council August 13th, <br />was taken up and read: <br /> An Ordinance Requiring Owaers o= the Agenta of Owners of Buildings <br />Located Along the Line of the Cit~y Sewersg~ System to Connect with the Said Sewerage System, <br />and Providing Penalties for the Violation Thereof. <br /> <br /> On motion of M~, ~st,- the ordinance was laid on the table. <br /> The following motion b~iMr. Stewart placed on first reading by Council July 23rd and <br />continued on the table by counci~ ~Augustl3th, was taken up: "To adopt Scott's system of <br />b~dgetsa~y control amd to approprmate $2150.00 to Barry same in~o effect." <br /> On motion of Mr. Brooks, the motion was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes-- Brooks, Maupin, Oast, Stewart, Ogg, 5. <br />Nays-- Mayo, 1. - - <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Bills were re~d from J. Shirley Hope, State Game Warden, to amount o~ $8?.50, for ser- <br />vices rendered in destroying 35 tagless dogs $ $2.50 each; and D. W. McKenney, State Game <br />Warden, to amount of $55.00-, for services rendered in destroying 22 tagless dogs $ $2.50 each. <br /> On motion of Mr. Brooks, the Treasurer was authorized to pay the bills, out of funds <br />on hand from collection of Dog Taxes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ogg asked that the following matters which had been on the table for some time, be <br />taken up and bonsidered by the Oouncll.: 0onsolid~i~n~f .fire ho~mses; consolidation oftt.he <br />Inclne=ator, Stables, and Material Ys~d; z~adju~mentof~wate~ rates. <br /> The President stated that he would call a conference of the Council for Tuesday, Sep- <br />t'$mber 3rd, at 8 p. m., to consider these pr6jects. <br /> <br />On motion, <br /> <br />~djourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
