<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 00UNOIL OF THE OIlY OF PORTSHOUTH~

<br /> Section I. That the Gity Clerk of said-0tty be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
<br />to advertise for tendays in the~Portsmou~h_Sta~,~ a newsaper published in said Oity, the
<br />form of ordin~uce and form of contract attached hereto as a part hereof, the effect of which
<br />is to consent to the abandonment and discontinuance by Virginia Electric a~d Power Company
<br />of the street railway line 'known as ~Park View Line;~ and to amend and re-ordain 'Exhibit A~
<br />attached to and m%de a part of the ordinance adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth
<br />on August. 27, t925,1under which said Company o~er~$e~ the street railway system in said City,
<br />and tO spec!fY the work tcbedone and payments to be made ~y said Company ~n co~mection with
<br />the discon~Umance and abandonment of said line, and relieving and discharging said Company
<br />of any duty or obligation to do or perform any other work with respect to said abandoned
<br />locations than that required by said form of contract.

<br />Section 2. This resolution shall be in full. force and effect from and after its passage.#
<br />
<br />On motion of Hr. Ogg, the resolution was adopted.
<br />

<br />disposing of the mud'that~may be dredged from Scott sOreek, reported #P=ogress."

<br /> The Oounoll proceeded to comside~ the 1931 Budget, and after considering quite a numb~.r
<br />of items, Mr~ ~aupin moved that the ~.~l~ries, wages~ and other necessaryexpenses of the City
<br />Government be paid pending the adoption Of the 1~31 Budget.
<br /> The motion was adopted.
