<br />for years 1921 to 1930 erroneous assessment, was referred to the Gity Attorney.

<br /> Report of J.A.D. Parrish, auditing ferry book and acco-ant for January, 1932, was
<br />received and filed.

<br />Mr. Magnin offered the followi~ resolution which was adopted:

<br />of Virginia, providing for larger State aid for the operation of ~hlic
<br />Schools of this State,
<br />NOW, T'~HEREFORE, be it resolved by the Gouncil of the Gity of Portsmouth
<br />that the members of the Genera~ Assembly be requested to enact law'or
<br />laws giving to the cities of tae first class cz this State, additional
<br />funds, which they sorely need, for the operation of their public shools,
<br />and that they be placed on the same basis as the cities of the second
<br />class, towns and counties of this State.
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Gen-
