Eden, and patrolm~R.O. Journee, W.J. <br />Morgan and S.G. Webb of the Police Department, were relieved from service effective December <br />31st, 1932, for the good of the service.~ <br /> <br />On motion ordered filed. <br /> <br />The following cormuunioation from the Oity Attorney was read: <br /> <br /> 'At yonr last meeting you referred to me a request for a refund of $53- to the <br />George W. Mauoin Oomoany on account of payment on oersonal orooerty taxes. I find that this <br />company was ~sesse~ wit~ machinery on the persona~ propert~ b~oks at a valuation of $22,000. <br />It seems that an error ox $2,000. was made in the accountant's report and when the attention <br />of the Commissioner of the Revenue was called to the error he had the court make the correc- <br />tion in the assessment. The George W. Maupin Company had previously pa~ the tsxes under the <br />pre-payment tax plan, and it is therefore entitled to the refund of $53.00.' <br /> <br /> <br />
