Hutchins, Arthur Mayo, S.B. Moore, j. <br /> Alden Oast, H.F. Parrish, the 0ity Manager. <br /> <br /> Minutes of regular meeting held Nay 22nd, were read and approved. <br /> <br /> The following communications from the~ City Manager were read: <br /> <br /> 1st - ,Please be advised that percy Lee Host was appointed hoseman Grade B in <br />the Fire Department, effectZve May 29th, 193~, to fill the vacancy created by ~he retir~men~ <br />of J.E. Travers. <br /> Mr. Host has served as s~ostitute fireman since December 6th, 1925,oduring <br />which time his services have been very satisfactory., <br /> <br />On motion ordered filed. <br /> <br /> 2nd - "I am attaching as information, copy of letter from M~. Geo. W. Booth,Ohief <br />Engineer, National-Board of Fire Underwriters, dated Nay 28th, 1934, in w?Ach he states the <br />National Board of Fire Underwriters could see no reason why the application of the Standard <br />Oil Company of New Jersey to renew two oil storage tanks at their plant on South St., should <br />not be granted. <br /> <br /> ~ On receipt of this advice from the National Board of Fire Underwriters, I <br />approved the application of-the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey to renew the two oil sto~- <br />age tanks in question, as I understood from the discussion of this matter by you at meeting <br />on May 22nd that you wished me to approve this application provided the national Board of Fire <br />U~derw~iters did not object," <br /> <br />On motion ordered filed. <br /> <br /> 3rd - The Manager stated that owing to the confusion in charging penalty, on licen- <br />ses, that he discontinued charging penalty on all license taxes exceot on automobiles and <br />trucks and presented the following list of penalties already col~te~ and recommended that they <br />be refunded: <br /> <br />J.H.
