<br />96-43 - The following call for the meeting was read:
<br />
<br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be
<br />held at the FORT MAGRUDER INN, 6945 Pocohontas Trail,
<br />Willia/nsburg, Virginia, 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 1996,
<br />8:30 a.m., Friday, February 2, 1996, and 9:00 a.m., Saturday,
<br />February 3, 1996, for the purpose of a City Council Advance.
<br />
<br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an
<br />Executive Session.
<br />
<br />By order of the Mayor."
<br />
<br /> 96-44 - The following items were discussed during the
<br />Public Work Session:
<br />
<br />1. Public Safety
<br />2. Marketing and Cormnunications
<br />3. Economic/Financial Planning
<br />
<br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to go
<br />into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section
<br />2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following:
<br />
<br /> (1) Discussion of personnel matters, as permitted by
<br />Subsection (A) (1).
<br />
<br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Clemons,
<br />pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia
<br />certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge
<br />during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City
<br />Council:
<br />
<br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from
<br />open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of
<br />Information Act, and
<br />
<br />
<br />
