A~ a special meeting of the City Council, held September 3rd, 1935, at ~:30 <br />P.M., there were present: <br /> <br />-Vernon A.-Brooks, 8. B. Moore, J.Alden Oast, J.R. Stewart, City Manager. <br />The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br />~Portsmouth, Va., Aug. 30th, 1935. <br /> <br />Dear Sir: <br /> You are requested ~o at~end a special meeting of the City Council, in the Coun- <br />cil Chamber, at 4:30 on the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 1935, for the purpose of consider- <br />ing a Join~ application for the ear marking of $S,000,000.00 of Public Works Administration <br />Funds, for sewage disposal, by the communities of Hampton Roads and vicinity, without in any <br />way imposing any financial obligation on said communities. <br /> <br />By order of the Chairman. <br /> <br />Yours truly, <br /> <br />L.C. Brinson, City Clerk." <br /> <br />Dr. Moore presented the following resolution, which was, on motion, <br /> <br /> "-To approve the application of ear-marking of $S,000,000.00 <br />by the Public Works Administration funds for sewerage disposal <br />of the communities of Hampton Roads and vicinity, without in <br />any way i~posing any immediate financial obligation on this City <br />and predicated upon the CiSy's agreement to enter into the pro- <br />Jeer when finally worked out." <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />adopted: <br /> <br />Approved - <br /> <br />President. <br /> <br /> <br />
