<br /> · 2nd - "In reference to the letter of Er. W. Ro winborne, referred to me on
<br />June 2~rd, it appears that ~r. Winborne was assessable for taxes on a truck, and that his
<br />tax ticket should have read "truck" instead of "household and kitchen" furniture. I under -
<br />stand this matter has since been explained to Mr. Winborne in the office of the Commissioner
<br />of the Revenue. In my opinion, the'refund should not be made.~

<br /> 3rd - "In reference ~o the letter of Mr. Geor~ge E. Mittier, referred to me at
<br />your last meeting, I find that Mr. Niltier did not own the household and kitchen furniture
<br />which was assessed to him. For a portion of the time, the furniture was assessed to Mr. J.M.
<br />Broughton, of Ocean View. He should be relieved of the following personal property assess -
<br />ments: 1931 -$1.32, 1932 - $1.33~ 1933~ ~rl.O6, 193~ -$1!06 and 1935 ~$1.32 total $6o09."

<br />Branch Cemetery have been deteriorating for some time now, and th~exceptional freezes of
<br />last winter made repairs imperative.
<br /> From the nature of the work, it was impracticable to secure bids and an esti-
<br />mate would have been a mere approximation. Therefore, the Engineering Department made the

<br /> could not procure them'until ~y State licenses on premises were received. I received these
<br /> lisenses and paid'for them, but when I went.to procure my City license, I was charged a pen -
<br /> alty of $7.79.
