<br />Minutes of regular meetingsof June 25th and 28th were read and approved.

<br />Report of the Accounting Department for the month of June, was received and
<br />
<br />ordered filed.

<br />Report of the City Collector for the month.of June was received and ordered
<br />
<br />filed.

<br />The following ordinance, laid on table at last meeting, was taken u_n and read:

<br /> "AN ORDINANOE TO A~END THE LIO~NSE TAX ORDINANCE BT ADDING
<br /> A NEW SECTION THERETO RELATING TO BEAUTY CULTURE SCHOOLS".

<br />On motion, said ordinance was adopted, and by the following vote:

<br /> "The inclosed letter from your Building Inspector, the tax receipt which I
<br />ask you to remit the tax on building which I paid under protest June 25, 19~O. As this build-
<br />ing was removed in June, 1939, I was advised by Building inspector to do this, as there has
<br />been an error, the taxon building removed last year has been continued.
<br /> Please oblige and mail refund.

<br /> Bill of J. Shirley Hope, State Game Warden, for des-tro¥ing fifty-one tagless
<br />dogs at $2.50 each, totaling $127.50, was presented, and on motion of Mr. Fox, the Treasurer
<br />was authorized to pay same from funds in her hands from collection of Dog Taxes.

<br /> Compensation reports of the Commissioner of Revenue and Commonwealth Attorney
<br />for June, 19~0 were received, and on motion of Mr. Fox, approved for payment.
<br />
<br /> Report of F.B. Hill & Company on ferry books and accounts for May, 19~O, was
<br />received and ordered filed.
<br />
<br /> ~Letter was received from Refuge Lodge No,
<br />bus warning against Fifth Oo!umn, Trojan Horse and others,
<br />mittee on that subject.

<br /> Er. Winston, of tl%e N.S.H.A., presented a contract in reference to the hous-
<br />ing of the government employees and Slum ~learanoe, the City Attorney explained the contract
<br />and, on motion of Mr. Weiseman, ~D~ same was referred to the Mayor, City Manager and Oity
<br />Attorney, to confer with Mr. Winston and try to report an agreement.
