Hutchins presented the following resolutlon: <br /> <br />~WHEREAS, the office of 0ity Manager is vacant and it is necessary <br />for some one to perform the duties relating to the office, and the <br />Council of the City of Portsmouth is no~ ready~ at this time, to <br />go into ~the el~ctlo~ of a person to permanently fill the positioh, <br /> <br />T~ERE~ORE, Be it Resolved by the Council of the 0ity of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~.'that un~il the 0ity Council determines it is ready to go <br />into the election of a person to permanently fill the position of <br />Oity Mansger, t~a% City Engineer M.E. Haug be and he is hereby elected <br />as Acting 0ity Manager of the City of Portsmouth to hold office at the <br />pleasure of the City Council and until h~s successor is electedon <br /> <br />vote: <br /> <br />On motion of Mr, Hu~chins, said resolution was adopted, and by the following <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Nsys~' <br /> <br />Leigh~ Pox, Grimes, Hall, Howard, <br /> Lawrence, ~arren, Wilson <br />None <br /> <br />Hutchins, <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />Approved <br /> <br />0lty Olerko <br /> <br />President. <br /> <br /> <br />
