<br /> "Capt. L. 0L Warren, your Acting Chief Of Police, in his usual quick think-
<br />ing manner, af~erhaving Patrolman George W. Pear,e, properly sworn in, called Detectives L.A.
<br />Broughton and B. E. Andrews ~o his o~fice, gave them instructions, to have Patrolman Pearte
<br />report to them dressed in "work clotaing" at nine O'clock last night and try to get purchases
<br />of whiskey from violators of the A.B.O. Act.
<br /> Capt. Warren~s instructions were well worded,' and Detectives Broughtcn and
<br />Andrews carried his instructions ou~ well and ~o the letter, getting results in an efficien~
<br />manner.
<br /> Patrolman Pea~e made purchases from the persons listed, raids were made,
