<br />and Power Company, which was, on motion of Mro Howard, laid on table until next meeting~

<br /> "~or some time we have been receiving a good many complaints about the
<br />practice of smoking on the buses an~4Probably some of these have come to your attention.
<br /> Paragraph of Bection I¥ of our present bus ordinance ~rohibits
<br />sac:king.on the buses bat does not provide any penalty for violation which makes it extremely
<br />difficult for the company to enforce-~he ordinance.
<br /> To correct this situation we desire to request the Council to amen~
<br />this section to provide a penalty for its violation in order that we may better protect the
<br />comfort and c~uvenience of our passengers.
<br /> I am inclosing herewith for your convenience a draft of the proposed
