Eay 17th~ 1943. there were present: At a meeting of the City Council, held on. Nay~ 17th, 1943, pursuant to call, Leslie T. Fo~ Russell E. Hall, Sames-.N.Howa~d, W. ~ Hutohins, Frank D. Lawrenee~ C. E. Warren, Pearle J.Wilson~ and Arthur Owens, City ManaEer. Vice P~esident Pearle J.~Wilson'in the Ohair and Mr. Leslie. T. Fox acted as Clerk. The Oity Manager reported'that a conference had been held on last Thursday, N~y 13th, 1943,- at which were. present ~ Er. AnEe~ Lucen~i, t radi~g as.Eeade ~onstr~ction' Com- pany, )~. C. C. Hat,man, representing the Ne$~msterSam.'Oasual~y Company, ~r.' H~ E. Glarrey, representing Federal Works Agency, Mr. ~. E. Fulmer, representing~Greeley & H~nsen, and ~r. F.J Bergeren, City Engineer,~r~ R. C. Ba~olay, City A~torney, and N~Arkhur S. ~ wens, City Mana- ger, and at this conference, Mr. Lucenti stated he was unable to D~oceed with Division A or-his contrae$?dated JulY-29~th, I~ , F.~.A. Docket ~3~-141, end he.would stop work on Saturday, Eay 15th, 1943, unl&ss he received financial assistance. Er. Lucen~i desired to know whether the City would render him assistance by increasing the payments to be made under the constrct, and a request was made to present the matter to the City Council, and. it was stated a meeting would be arranged for this~ time, and ~. Lucenti was notified'of this meeting. The Eanager fuz-~her reported that the Neade Construction Company had stop- ped work-on-Saturday, and that he understood Er~ LUcenti had left tae Cit., and no one is pres- ent at this meeting represen~ing him. On motion 0 f~ro Hu~ohins,' seconded by Mr'. Howard, the City Manager and City Attorney were directed to take the necessary legal steps to protect the interests of the City, and to give such notices as may be required by the contract to insure the completion cf the work required under Division A.
