<br />sold, to date, 5,600 State auto licenses to. residents of Portsmouth; for the same pe~icd the
<br />City Cellectc~ shews the sale of 4,?30 city licenses.

<br /> On Monday, July l?th, we began a.house tom.house cheek for licen-
<br />ses, which includes bicycle, automobile and boarding house licenses, with a summons for any
<br />person w~e has failed te purahase proper license."

<br />Project VA 44-324, Storm Drains and Sidewalks, has eom -

<br />pleted its contract to the satisfaction ef the City En-
<br />gineer, and

<br />Works Agency through its Nc~folk representatives, and

<br />under this contract, after-the Council has accepted its
