'Bain. the Public School Board from The following letter was received: "I am handing yo~ herewith my resignation as aTrustee of the Portsmouth School Board from the Second District, same to be effective as of June 30~ 194~. It has been a real pleasure and an honor to have had the privilege of servi~ on the School Board for the past 14 years from Marshall Ward. It has been my ~rivilege to serve as president of this distinguished group for ten years. We have a find representative group of citizens serving our school system as zrus~ee~, and they are doing their best to give to our City one of the finest educational systems in our State. Our Council's fine co-operation and loyal support has been deeply appreciaSed by me during my ~nure of office. May I again thank you for the privilege of servir~ our City in this most important position.
