<br /> 1st - "When the budget was ad~pted, an a~propriation for recreation was
<br />made rom six months, and in order to continue the program for %he additional six months, an ap-
<br />propriation of $~0,000~00 will be necessary."

<br />$~0,000.00 for said purpose was adopted.

<br /> Bnd - "Due to increased relief costs and the fact that the State has re-
<br />duced assistance to the City, it will be necessary to increase our aRpropriation for the yea~
<br />by $10,000o00."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Howard to place on its first reading an app~oprz~tzon of
<br />$10,000~00 for said purpose, was adopted.
<br />
<br /> Grd - "You. appropriated $101~000.00 at our last meeting for Project VA
<br />44-141 - Se~er Construction, and in order to meet cu~r~nt acco~u~ts, priom to the issuance of
<br />the bonds, a short t arm loan in the ~mount of $100,000~00 will be necessary, fr~mthe two lo-
<br />calbanks in the ~ount of $~0,000~00 each.
<br /> ~ill you please authorize this ban and to be repaid out of the
<br />bond issu~ at a later date?"

<br /> Motion of Mr. Grimes to concu~ in the Manager's recoramendation,

<br />negro hospital and the firm of Rudolph, Cooke and Van Leeuwen made an extensive and studious
<br />survey of the buildings and they have for,~arded a statement of $250o00 a~d I m uld appreciate
<br />an appropriation of this amount.~

<br /> Motion o f Mr. Howard to place on its first reading an appropriation of
<br />~50.00 for said purpose, was adopted.

<br /> ~th - "I am in receipt of a statement from D~. Thomas H. Reed for profes-
<br />sional services rendered relative to the annexation proceedings and my agreement v~th h~was
<br />for his sxpenses not to exceed $8,000~00.
<br /> We paid Dr. Reed o~ August llth, 1~4~ ~82~.~8 smd on March ~th,
<br />1~46, ~4~.67 - or a total of $1,~71.62, leavmng a net due of $1,~8.~8.
