<br /> On motion, made by Nr. Haywood, seconded by Mr. Treakle, the s,~m of
<br />~5~000.00 was appropriated and .the Treasurer directed t o draw check in favor of the City of
<br />Portsmouth for said mmount to cover the final pa~w~uent of the County's portion due on the West
<br />Norfolk water line; this payment making a total payment OF $15,000.00 by the County, ~nd it
<br />being agreed~ as per unsigned supplemental contract, this day filed, that'the City o f Ports -
<br />mouth and the Virginia Smelting Company, shall each deposit a like amount, mud that the iCity
<br />of ~ortsmouthwill prepare and have executed a signed supplemental contract.
